FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Mandatory NCAA compliance meetings for 2010-11 athletic teams have been scheduled, a Fredonia State athletic department official announced today.

The fall teams will go first, with meetings scheduled -- by team -- on Aug. 17 and Aug. 18.

Winter and spring teams will meet later in the month -- Aug. 26 and Aug. 30. Prospective student-athletes must attend one of the two scheduled sessions.

According to Fredonia State and NCAA regulations, student-athletes cannot practice with their teams until they have met with of the university's compliance officer.

In addition, all required paperwork must be filled out and returned to the athletic trainers at least one week before a student-athlete practices. Required forms can be downloaded in PDF format from ATHLETIC TRAINING HOME PAGE.

FALL SPORTS

Tues. Aug. 17 -- Women's cheerleading, women's soccer; 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., McEwen 202.

Wed., Aug. 18 -- Cross country, men's soccer, women's tennis, women's volleyball; 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., McEwen 202.

WINTER/SPRING SPORTS

Thurs., Aug. 26 -- 6 p.m. to 8:20 p.m., McEwen 209.

Mon., Aug. 30 -- 6 p.m. to 8:20 p.m., McEwen 209.
