Peter Francia and Ryan Delaney continued to run 1, 2 for the Blue Devils at the SUNYAC meet
RESULTS
WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. -- Fredonia State junior Peter Francia finished 12th Saturday, good enough for a place on the All SUNYAC Team, at the men's conference cross country championship meet.
Francia covererd the 8,000 meters in 26:39. The meet was held at Bowdoin Park, just ahead of a heavy snowstorm which began as the men's race was ending.
It was the fifth time this season in five attempts that Francia has been the Blue Devils' No. 1 runner. Likewise,
Ryan Delaney maintained his No. 2 spot for the fifth straight time. Delaney finished 26th overall in 27:09.
Rounding out Fredonia State's scoring five were junior
Jack Bennett (33rd; 27:30), freshman
Zakk Hess (35th; 27:34), and freshman
Alex Gonzalez (37th; 27:39).
The sixth and seventh displacing runners were
Nico Piacentini (38th; 27:46) and
Adam Steves (40th; 27:49).
The Blue Devils finished fifth of 10 teams. Seven runners plus one alternate will participate in the Atlantic Regional at St. Lawrence Nov. 12.
