RESULTS
MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Senior runners
Nick Guarino and
Kate Brett were individual winners Friday at the fifth annual Gator Invitational sponsored by Allegheny College.
Guarino set a Frank B. Fuhrer track record with a 1:49.12 in the men's 800 meters. Meanwhile, Brett hit the tape in 1:04.32 to win the women's 400-meter intermediate hurdles.
Other top performers among Blue Devil men were
Broncho Rollins, second in the pole vault (4.85 meters/15' 11");
Michael Hite, third in the javelin (54.31 meters/178' 2");
Andrew Charsky, third in the triple jump (13.76 meters/45' 1 3/4");
Carl Caughell, third in the 110-meter high hurdles (15.01 seconds); and
Josh Guarino, fifth in the 1,500 meters (3:52.98).
On the women's side,
Emily Cummiskey was sixth in the triple jump (10.96 meters/35' 11 1/2").
