MEN'S RESULTS
FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's cross country team finished 26th in a field of 46 teams at the Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University on Friday.

Junior Peter Francia paced the men with a 21st-place finish in 26:11. Junior Ryan Delaney was 80th in 26:53.

Freshman Zakk Hess (172nd, 27:36), junior Adam Steves (210th, 28:00) and freshman Chris Shartrand (211th, 28:01) rounded out the men's top five. A total of 382 competitors took part in the race.

The women's team turned in an eighth-place finish in a field of 39 teams. Freshman Amanda Cocchiara was the top Devil runner, placing 22nd among 335 competitors. She finished in a time of 24:13 in the 6,000-meter course.

Rounding out the top five for Fredonia State were senior Amanda Solly (47th in a time of 24:49); freshman Angela Richter (65th, 25:12); sophomore Alissa Conti (91st, 25:39) and junior Kateri Walsh (122nd, 26:09).

The teams have next weekend off before taking part in the Oberlin Inter-regional Rumble on Oct. 15.
