ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Fredonia women finished 21st Saturday at the NCAA Division 3 Atlantic Regional championship race.
The Blue Devils were led by junior
Lauren Kotas (Lancaster, N.Y. / Lancaster), who finished 54th in a time of 23:12.3 seconds for the 6,000-meter course.
Next were sophomoreÂ
Kara Hall (Bergen, N.Y. / Byron-Bergen), senior
Emily Palmeri (Hamlin, N.Y. / Hilton), sophomore
Alyssa Stroud (Allegany, N.Y. / Allegany-Limestone), and freshman
Maddie Courtney (Getzville, N.Y. / Williamsville South). Two more underclassmen, sophomores
Bonnie Binggeli (Walworth, N.Y. / Gananda) and
Julia Johnson (Baldwinsville, N.Y. / C.W. Baker), were Fredonia's displacement runners.
There were 40 complete teams in the race, won by St. Lawrence. Three SUNYAC schools finished next 2-3-4 – Geneseo, Oneonta, and Cortland.
The race was held at Genesee Valley Park and hosted by the University of Rochester.
