Senior Ethan Sokolowski went out in style, with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Dexter Brooks added 15 points and Martin Garza had 12 points and eight rebounds.

Canton (7-18 / 6-12 SUNYAC) was led by a trio of players that scored 20+ points -- Lateef Johnson, Jr. (29), Jahdeuir Reese (24), and Bryon Streb (22).

The first half was fast paced with the teams combining for 105 points, with Canton taking a 53-51 lead into the locker room. There were four lead changes on the final minute of the first.

Canton increased its output to 56 second-half points, while the Devils netted 36.

After Fredonia State tied the game at 11 following a pair of free throws by Williams, the Oswego Lakers used three three-pointers and a free throw to go on a 10-0 run and take control of the game. The Lakers would lead 45-27 at the half. 

Oswego (20-4 / 14-3 SUNYAC) was led by Deacon Judd with 24 points and eight rebounds.

Hopkins had strong two-game performance, shooting 50.0 percent from the field (10-20) while scoring 32 points (16.0 ppg). She also controlled the glass with 20 rebounds (10.0 rpg) and added four assists and four steals.

Garza put together a strong two-game stretch, shooting 52.8 percent from the field (19-36) while totaling 48 points (24.0 ppg) with 13 rebounds, nine assists, and a 4.5 assist-to-turnover ratio. He highlighted the performance by hitting the game-winning basket in the closing seconds against Potsdam.

Other Notables:
Grace Alexander - Named the SUNYAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week after averaging 19 points, fice assists and 4 rebounds as the team went 2-0 in SUNYAC play.
Talon Rowland and Jordan Lockett - Both set school records at Boston University. Rowland broke the 400m record with a time of 48.92 seconds. Lockett 200m time of 21.99 seconds is tnow the school's top time.

He currently leads the SUNYAC with 59 long range buckets. 

Unfortunately, it would not be enough to overcome the SUNYAC No. 1 seed Cortland Red Dragons as the Devils fell 89-66 on Tuesday.

Stevie Williams added nine points for the Devils. Cortland was paced by Isiah Austin with 25 points and Aaron Coston with 19 points and 11 rebounds. They improve to 20-4 and 16-1 in the SUNYAC.

Cortland jumped out to a 12-0 lead and would be up 48-28 by halftime.

Unfortunately for the Blue Devils, they came out on the short end, 91-89, vs. Plattsburgh after winning the previous night with the game winner coming in the closing seconds.

Martin Garza had a solid game, scoring 25 points, grabbing eight boards, and dishing out six assists. He was one of five seniors honored before the game for the team's annual Senior Night.

Fellow senior Ethan Sokolowski had 17 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. Kofo Laditan, Antowan Holmes, and Dexter Brooks were the other three seniors.

Stevie Williams added 19 points, and Christian Williams, no relation, added 13 points.

Things looked good for the Devils in the first half. Their biggest lead of the game of 11 points came at the 12:27 mark following a 7-0 run. A Stevie Williams layup put them up 25-14.

By the half, the Cardinals clawed back into the lead, 50-46.

Late in the third, Christian Williams nailed a three to give the Devils a 79-78 lead, their first of the second half. There would be three more ties and three lead change the rest of the way as the Cardinals eventually prevailed.

They were led by Reem Welch with 35 points and 10 rebounds. Elijah Morris added 18 off the bench.

The fantastic finish capped a 14-2 run down the stretch to see the Devils pull out the victory. Garza finished with 23 points, including 10 of the Devils' final 14. Sokolowski's effort saw him score 16 points, dish out nine assists, and grab seven rebounds. Christian Williams added 12 points and seven boards.

Potsdam (1-21 / 1-14 SUNYAC) was led by Mike Hancock with 26 points, 11 coming from the free-throw line. Four players finished in double digits.

Aside from the game's first basket, the Devils would not lead until the game's last basket with 2.6 seconds left to play. They did keep things close, however, to set things up for their stretch run. Potsdam never led by more than 10 points in the second half.

The Devils (3-18 / 3-11 SUNYAC) take on Plattsburgh at 4 p.m. on Saturday. Christian Williams nailed a three early on to put Fredonia State up 14-9. New Paltz would then take control of the game scoring 23 consecutive points to go up 32-14. New Paltz would end the half with a 24-point lead and cruise to the victory. 

The Hawks (11-11 / 9-6 SUNYAC) were paced by LaMar Mathews with 30 points and Isaiah Rivera with 24. For the game, New Paltz nailed 61 percent of its shots, going 38-62.

They would outscored the Devils 31-21 in the second half. Cam Laclair led the Dragons with 14 points and nine rebounds as Oneonta improved to 13-8 and 11-3 in the SUNYAC.
