The duo led the Devils to a 13-12 mark this year.

Alexander averaged 11.8 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. She led the Devils with 68 assists, 52 steals, and 53 three pointers -- her long-range total ranked her second in the SUNYAC. In conference-only games, her 44 threes was tops for the circuit. She also nailed 33 percent of her overall threes, which was fourth in the SUNYAC. She concludes her junior season with 909 career points. As a freshman, Alexander was named Rookie of the Year and Third Team All Conference.

Gilbert led the Devils in scoring (12.7 ppg), was second in rebounding (6.2 rpg), and third in steals (37). She led the conference in field-goal percentage at 53 percent (134-253). In three seasons, she has 660 points.

Unfortunately, Oswego would prevail in the extra frame with a 71-67 victory.

Stackhouse had a dominant game, recording 19 points and 19 rebounds. Payton Gilbert matched her with 19 points, and Alexander had 15.

The first half saw the Devils work up to 24-15 lead. The Lakers -- fighting for their playoff lives -- would battle back, going on a 13-4 run to close out the first half tied at 28.

The Lakers maintained the lead most of the second half, and appeared to be in control. 

With 2:13 left to play and down nine, 62-53, the Devils went to work. Back-to-back threes by Alexander cut the lead to three. The teams traded the next few points, and the Devils were down 64-61 with time running out.

Alexander would nail her clutch basket as time expired for her third three in the final few minutes of play. 

The first basket of overtime was a layup by Gilbert ti give the Devils their first lead since the second quarter. Unfortunately, the Lakers finished with the final seven points to claim the win. 

For Oswego, Zhane Holmes had 23 points and eight rebounds, Sarah Hirschler added 17 points, and Giavanna White-Principio added 12 points and 17 rebounds.

Both squads now sport identical 8-9 records in the SUNYAC. The Devils did prevail over the Lakers back on Jan. 24th by a score of 70-67. Oneonta and Plattsburgh are both 9-8. Of the aforementioned four teams, only three will make ot to the postseason, with the final games being played on Saturday. 

Overall, the Devils are 13-11, and Oswego is 10-14.

In a 74-42 win over Potsdam, she scored 23 with 5 assists and 4 rebounds. In a 65-45 win over Plattsburgh, she scored 15 and had 5 assists and 5 rebounds.

Currently, Alexander ranks ninth in the SUNAYC in points per game, and is second with 48 three pointers.

Hopkins had strong two-game performance, shooting 50.0 percent from the field (10-20) while scoring 32 points (16.0 ppg). She also controlled the glass with 20 rebounds (10.0 rpg) and added four assists and four steals.

Garza put together a strong two-game stretch, shooting 52.8 percent from the field (19-36) while totaling 48 points (24.0 ppg) with 13 rebounds, nine assists, and a 4.5 assist-to-turnover ratio. He highlighted the performance by hitting the game-winning basket in the closing seconds against Potsdam.

Other Notables:
Grace Alexander - Named the SUNYAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week after averaging 19 points, fice assists and 4 rebounds as the team went 2-0 in SUNYAC play.
Talon Rowland and Jordan Lockett - Both set school records at Boston University. Rowland broke the 400m record with a time of 48.92 seconds. Lockett 200m time of 21.99 seconds is tnow the school's top time.

Neither team had much traction in the first quarter, The Devils would end the first frame with a 9-7 lead.

Cortland picked up the pace in the second, outscoring the Devils 23-9.

Both tem would find their rhythm in the second half, but the conference-leading Red Dragons (21-3 / 16-1 SUNYAC) would prevail. They were led by Brooke Tillotson -- one of four Dragons in double digits -- with 16 points. 

The Devils fall to 13-10 and 8-8 in the SUNYAC. 

They wrap up the regular season with road contests at Oswego and Canton this weekend. The games will have significant post-season implications as the Devils battle for a playoff spot. Two games separate the four conference teams vying for the final playoff spot.

Potsdam hung around the first half. The Devils took the early lead and would lead until the Bears tied the game at 20 with three-and-a-half left in the second quarter. The Devils would settle for a 30-24 lead at the break. 

The halftime speech got the Devils rolling as they would outscore Potsdam 19-8 in the third, making it a 49-32 game. They kept up the pressure and owned the fourth by extending their lead to another 15 points to give the final. 

The Devils dominated the boards, 45-31, and held Potsdam to 23 percent shooting from the floor.

The Devils take on Plattsburgh in a 2 p.m. contest on Saturday. New Paltz would not take a lead in the game until 2:24 left in the first half. Kayden Cornell nailed a three to make it 25-24 in favor of the Hawks. The Devils would score the next five points capped by a Stackhouse three to take a 29-24 ead into the intermission.

New Paltz would take a 43-36 lead after three quarters. 

Fredonia State would twice tie the game in the fourth, the second tie coming when Gilbert made a layup with 2:07 left to knot things at 53. New Paltz's Brianna Fitzgerald would score the game's final three points to seal the game for the Hawks. 

Fitzgerald finished a busy afternoon with 22 points, 11 rebounds, five blocks, and five steals.
