PORTLAND, N.Y. -- Fredonia State finished behind Mercyhurst and Daemen during the team's Invitational held Saturday at Lake Erie State Park.
Mercyhurst had 26 points, Daemen 50, and the Blue Devils 52, Medaille was fourth with 126 points. Pitt-Bradford and Hilbert did not have at least five runners to record a team score.
Amanda Solly was second overall in the 5,000-meter race in 19:55, six seconds behind the race winner. Next to finish was
Amanda Cocchiara in 20:13.
Rounding out Fredonia State's top five were
Alissa Conti, 14th overall (21:35);
Angela Richter, 16th overall (21:41); and
Emily Palmeri, 19th overall (21:51).
The Blue Devils' sixth and seventh finishers were
Sarah Rocco and
Kateri Walsh, at 21:54 and 22:00, respectively.
Next up is the Fredonia State Alumni Challenge next Saturday over a campus course.
